Terms

These are the terms for buying from Capfaces, a small shop in Prescott, Arizona. By using this site or placing an order you agree to them. How we handle information is on the Privacy page. Questions go to hello@capfaces.com.

Who can order

Orders are placed by an adult, 18 or older, who pays and receives our emails. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Orders

An Original is made for you. We print its parts in the colors you picked and put it together after you pay, and we email you when it ships.

If we cannot make or send something you ordered, we will tell you and refund it in full.

Drops

Drop caps are made in small batches. When a drop is gone it does not come back. If more orders come in than we have caps for, the extra orders are canceled and refunded in full.

Prices and tax

The price is the one shown when you check out. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.

Shipping

We ship within the United States.

Local pickup

Some orders are picked up instead of shipped, with a pickup code we give out. A pickup order pays no postage, and we hand it over in person when it is ready; it is delivered once it is in your hands.

Safety

Every item carries our printed age grade and warning. Read it before you hand one to anyone. Capfaces contain small parts.

The site

The drawings, words and photos on this site are ours. Please do not copy them.

Our responsibility

If something goes wrong with an order, the most we are responsible for is what you paid for it, as far as the law allows.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, email hello@capfaces.com first. Most things get fixed in a reply.

If we cannot sort it out within 30 days, either of us can take it to binding arbitration with the American Arbitration Association, under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of to court. Either of us can still take a claim that qualifies to small claims court.

Claims are brought one person at a time: only on your own behalf or ours, never as a class action, a class arbitration or a representative action.

You can opt out of arbitration by emailing hello@capfaces.com within 30 days of your first order or your first visit, saying you want to opt out. Opting out changes nothing else in these terms.

If the class action part of this section cannot be enforced for a claim, that claim goes to court instead of arbitration.

The law

These terms, and any dispute about this site or an order, follow the laws of Arizona and the Federal Arbitration Act. Any case that goes to court is heard in the state or federal courts for Yavapai County, Arizona.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. The terms on the day you ordered are the ones that apply to that order.
